Black Market

Weapons, armor, gadgets, accessories, and hired muscle — the shop where power is bought.

The Black Market is the city's fixed underground shop, not a player marketplace. Its four equipment categories cover every core stat: weapons boost Strength, armor boosts Resistance, gadgets boost Intelligence, and accessories boost Charisma. Bodyguards are a separate hired roster with combat stats and specialist skills.

Equipment

Each item's power is a percentage bonus to the stat its category serves. You can equip one item from each category at the same time, so a complete loadout has four independent slots. Equipped bonuses count toward respect and wherever that core stat is used; stat displays show the effective value while training still improves the underlying base stat.

Gadgets cover planning tools, surveillance equipment, and experimental systems. Their Intelligence bonus improves Intelligence-driven work such as theft, robberies, sabotage, and technical crew roles. Accessories cover status symbols, social access, and underworld presence. Their Charisma bonus improves Charisma-driven prices, income, capacity, busting, and social or leadership roles.

Equipment runs from Common street gear to eight-figure Legendary hardware. The top item in every category is Silver and Gold VIP gear — a Bronze pass does not open it. Gear stays yours and cannot be traded between players, so upgrades come from buying the next piece here.

Bodyguards

Six specialists, each with attack and defense stats you can train up and a special skill that levels to 10. You start with room for three of them, and the roster grows as you level - five is the most anyone can field. They add their attack and defense to your side in a fight, screen you during a kill operation, and die with you if one lands.

  • Sully — makes training your other bodyguards substantially cheaper.
  • Saul — a standing chance to spring you from jail the moment the door shuts.
  • Boris — soaks damage: cuts your stat losses and hospital time when you lose a fight.
  • Scofield — the jailbreak artist: better busting odds, shorter sentences when a bust fails, more busting XP.
  • Javier (level 10) — the sabotage professional: hits harder, plans faster, stays anonymous more often.
  • Tony (level 12) — the boss: amplifies every other bodyguard’s special, and makes complications on your crew jobs less likely.

Training a bodyguard's stats gets exponentially pricier at higher levels — maxing a full crew is an endgame project measured in tens of millions.

Each session also leaves that bodyguard resting for 10 minutes before he'll train again, whichever stat you picked — the clock is his, not the stat's. Your other bodyguards are unaffected, so a full crew can keep working while one of them recovers.
