Nightlife

Where stamina comes back — for a price your body keeps score of.

Crimes, car theft, and fights burn stamina, while the bar refills slowly on its own. Nightlife is the fast lane: pay the entry fee to open a 60-second venue session, then spend one ticket on the first purchase in that session. Further purchases in the same session use no additional ticket. There are two kinds of venue — nightclubs, which sell drugs, and whorehouses, which sell company.

Out of tickets? From level 3 a claimed account can buy one refill per CC day — Buy tickets with $CRIME beside the ticket counter opens the same panel as the ticket stat in the top bar. A refill tops the whole stack back up to your cap and charges the full displayed price whether you were at zero or one short, so spend down before you buy. The price follows the cap you are actually on: 2,500 $CRIME at 60 tickets, 3,750 at 90, and anything that raises the cap — Robbery Techniques tier 2 — raises the refill with it. Full and over-cap stacks cannot buy one, and tickets above the cap are left untouched.

Nightclubs — the drug menu

Every drug use restores stamina and adds +1% addiction. The table shows base catalog prices: NPC clubs apply venue-specific markups and city events can move checkout prices, while player-owned clubs set their pre-event prices within limits. Higher tiers cost more per stamina point, but filling the bar in one hit means one dose of addiction instead of five.

Addiction also fights the cure: the more addicted you are, the less each purchase actually restores. And buying far past a full bar isn't generosity — push your projected stamina too far over the top and you overdose, waking up in the Hospital.

Whorehouses — the clean alternative

Whorehouse services restore stamina with zero addiction — that's what the price premium over the drug menu buys. The catch is the fine print: every service use carries a chance of catching an STD, which puts you straight in the Hospital. Rare per use; not rare over a season of heavy use.

Who you meet there

Venues are public places. Everyone in a session sees everyone else, and crossing paths creates a Gangsters Seen record in both directions. Once protection is off and the beating requirements are met, that encounter can be used to attack the other player.

Owning a venue

RuleDetail
Buying inA nightclub costs $100,000; a whorehouse $200,000.
Entry feeYou set it, between $100 and $20,000 — every non-owner visitor pays it at the door.
PricesYour menu prices are clamped to 50–400% of catalog — undercut for traffic or mark up your monopoly.
StockNightclubs sell from inventory you supply — produce drugs or buy them, then stock the shelves. Empty shelves earn nothing.
IncomeEntry fees plus the full margin on everything sold, skimmed passively while others party.
The house always wins
A player-owned venue turns paying visitors’ entry fees and purchases into pending owner earnings. Traffic, stock, and pricing decide whether that investment pays.
